Reflections
Joyful-Driven Design
Throughout this project, I learnt the importance of knowing when to design to be joyful. Too often, designers focus primarily on functionality, aiming to ensure that a product works efficiently and meets its intended purpose. While this is important, a strictly functional approach can overlook the emotional and experiential aspects that make a design truly resonate with people.
Value Creation
An essential aspect I learned during this project was the importance of creating value and centering your design on delivering value for both the client and the customer. Without considering the value at each touchpoint, there's a risk that neither the client nor the customer will find your proposal appealing. For this project, I conducted extensive research on the client, NASCAR, and the viewers to understand their brand pillars and identify where they find value, ensuring our design intervention was strategically positioned.
Experience Design
As this project was my first project centered around experience design, I’ve come to appreciate how crucial experience design is in creating meaningful interactions between users and products. Experience design goes beyond aesthetics and functionality; it focuses on the holistic journey of the user, ensuring that every touchpoint is intuitive, engaging, and delightful. This approach not only enhances user satisfaction but also builds strong emotional connections and loyalty to the brand. By prioritizing the user's needs and emotions, experience design ensures that products are not only used but loved, leading to greater success and impact.
